Epicurious Louisville

Louisville Kentucky is usually renowned for Bourbon, horse racing, and hillbillies. Well I'm no barefoot teenage bride, but I think Louisville should be recognized as a mecca of amazing eats, a veritable undiscovered treasure trove of quirky cafes, upper cut echelon and everything in between.
For everything from sushi to satire, I'm your girl.

This, my friends, is a dinosaur egg.

It’s one of the special sushi items available at Kansai—deep fried avocado with crab and cream cheese drizzled with sauce. It’s exactly as decadent and magnificent as it sounds. Kansai also is pretty consistent when it comes to sushi, especially the deep fried highland roll! The soup, salad and hibachi is delish—but they recently raised all their prices so I’m not sure when we’ll be going back.

BUT it was the first place I ever had sushi, I’m pretty partial to Kansai.
